Where are you located?

A

We are between 15th and 16th streets, on Champa in Downtown Denver. Less than a half block off the 16th Street Mall.

Q

What are your Hours?

A

We are open Monday though Friday 7am to 3pm, Cupcakes are ready by 9:30am M-F. We are Open Saturdays 10am to 1pm for scheduled deliveries and pick ups only. We are one of the few bakeries in Denver open on Monday.

What do you have available during business hours?

A

After 10am, we always have at least 4 dozen LARGE cupcakes on hand in various flavors. Please call the bakery by 8am for a list of our available flavors of the week. Our flavors are also posted on Instagram each Monday morning. Follow us on Instagram @MermaidsBakery, to see our weekly flavors and events. We also, try to have a variety of cookies available, but they sell out fast.

Do you ever have a sale?

A

Not very often, Sometimes we get crazy and bake too many cupcakes! We will annouce and discounted cupcakes via instagram, please follow us on instagram @Mermaidsbakery

Are you hiring?

A

We usually hire our interns, but please email Diana at [email protected] and inquire about any positions.

What is your return policy?

A

Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or issue refunds. However we want our customers to be 100% satisfied with their Mermaids Bakery experience. If you are ever unsatisfied with a purchase, please contact the bakery within 24 hours of your purchase and we will do our best to address your concern.

What do you use in your products?

A

We use only the freshest highest-quality ingredients in our baked goods, including real butter, whole eggs, premium cocoa and fresh fruit and nuts.

Do you use nuts in your products?

A

Some of our products do contain nuts and we use nuts and peanut butter in the bakery. All our baked goods are baked in the same kitchen. We do wash and sanitize all our equipment including the tables before and after we bake each product, but we can not guarantee that traces of nuts will not present.

Should I refrigerate my cake or cupcakes?

A

If you will be eating your cupcakes or cake the same day as pick up or delivery, try to serve at room temperature. If you are having your cake or cupcakes the following day: refrigerate in the box we provide and take out your cake or cupcakes at least 2 hours prior to serving, bigger cakes need up to 4 hours. Our cakes and cupcakes are best served at room temperature. Please do not leave cakes or cupcakes in a warm area, such as a car or outdoors when the weather is warm. They are made with real butter and will melt.

Do you have any ready-made cakes?

A

All of our cakes are baked to order, we usually have cupcakes on hand, and we would be happy to write and insciption on them for you!

Do you deliver?

A

We do deliver! The minimum order for delivery is $30. In the Downtown Denver area, walking distance the delivery charge is $10, maximum 2 blocks off the 16th street mall. For areas 3-10 blocks off the 16th street mall, delivery is $15. For areas outside Downtown Denver, call us for a quote. Please make sure your delivery address is correct. Some addresses are South, west or east. For example: 1500 Colorado Blvd and 1500 S. Colorado Blvd are 5 miles apart, we would have to charge a second delivery fee if the address is incorrect. Deliveries to apartments are made to leasing offices only. ATTENTION: DELIVERY TO HOMES: if no one is available to receive your order at the location provided, the order will be left of the porch. We are not responsible for boxes or baked goods destroyed by weather, animals, insects, or theft. Bakery boxes are thin cardboard, secured with a few pieces of thin tape. Most deliveries are made between 11am and 1pm. Please advise the person receiving the items that they should be home to accept the delivery. DELIVERY TO APARTMENTS: We will deliver only if someone is available to receive the delivery, or there is a leasing office that will accept the delivery. If no one is available, and no leasing office on location, the order will be returned to the bakery for pick up, and no refunds (for order or delivery) will be issued. Redelivery of original order may be available at an additional delivery charge, your order will not be remade.

How do I place an order?

A

Call Mermaids Bakery to place an order with one of our friendly, knowledgeable staff members. OR place an order online. Please be advised that ALL orders must be confirmed with a credit card number before we can start. We will usually call you within 24-48 hours to confirm, if you do not hear from us please call us at 303-534-0956. There is a chance we may not have recieved your order.

How much notice do I have to give for an advance order?

A

We request at least 24 hours notice for M-F orders, adn 48 hours for Weekend orders.

What decorations can I get on my cake?

A

Our occasion cakes include an inscription and sprinkles. Our Signature cakes will often have an inscription handwritten with an edible marker on a 2" fondant circle. If you’d like something specific, call the bakery, we may ask you to bring in a picture of what you want. Fondant cover and fondant decorations are used at at additional cost, please call for a quote.

Will my cake look exactly like the one in the picture on your website?

A

Since all our cakes are frosted and decorated by hand, each one is an individual creation and may not appear exactly as it does in our example photos.

Can I create my own cake that’s not currently on your menu?

A

We offer signature Mermaids Cakes that have been tried and tested for supreme taste, If you have a specific request, please call the bakery.

Do you have a minimum requirement for special orders?

A

Special Cupcake and cookie flavors must be ordered ONE flavor per dozen.

Do you offer special packages for businesses, parties, or events?

A

Yes! Please call the bakery to be set up as a corporate account, your company will receive special discounts and incentives.

Do you ship?

A

We can ship cookies and macaroons at this time.

Q

What if I am displeased with the Decoration?

A

We will always open the box and show you the decoration of your cake! If you do not love the decorations please let us know and we will replace them on the spot. If you are picking up on a Saturday, please understand that we are very busy with customers picking up orders. We would be happy to adjust any decoration, but your patience will be appreciated.
Once the cake leaves the bakery we will not be responsible for any dissatisfaction regarding the decoration.
