Where are you located?

We are between 15th and 16th streets, on Champa in Downtown Denver. Less than a half block off the 16th Street Mall.

What are your Hours?
A
We are open Monday though Friday 7am to 3pm. We are open Saturdays for scheduled deliveries and pick ups only. We are one of the few bakeries in Denver open on Monday.

What do you have available during business hours?
A
We have breakfast burritos from 7 to 11am, they are a local favorite.
After 9am, we always have at least 4 dozen cupcakes on hand in various flavors. We also offer various cookies, muffins, macaroons, and mini pies in at least two flavors. Please see our flavor schedule for available flavors of the day

Do you ever have a sale?

Yes! It is a local secret that all our left over day old cupcakes are marked 2 for the price of one the morning after. Come in early these go fast!

What is your return policy?
A
Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or issue refunds. However we want our customers to be 100% satisfied with their Mermaids Bakery experience. If you are ever unsatisfied with a purchase, please contact the bakery within 24 hours of your purchase and we will do our best to address your concern.

What do you use in your products?
A
We use only the freshest highest-quality ingredients in our baked goods, including real butter, whole eggs, and fresh fruit and nuts. We don’t use preservatives in any of our products. We use local and organic ingredients whenever possible.

Do you use nuts in your products?
A
Some of our products do contain nuts and we use nuts in the bakery. All our baked goods are baked in the same kitchen. We do wash and sanitize all our equipment including the tables before and after we bake each product, but we can not guarantee that traces of nuts will not present.

Should I refrigerate my cake or cupcakes?
A
If you will be eating your cupcakes or cake the same day as pick up or delivery, try to serve as soon as possible—they’ll taste freshest that way. If you are having your cake or cupcakes the following day: refrigerate in the box we provide and take out your cake or cupcakes at least an hour prior to serving. Please do not leave cakes or cupcakes in a warm area, such as a car or outdoors when the weather is warm. They are made with real butter and will melt.

Do you have any ready-made cakes?
A
We do try to have 10 inch frozen cakes in chocolate or vanilla for people who need a cake last-minute. (All special order cakes are baked fresh, ONLY last minute cakes are made with frozen cake layers.) However, we don’t guarantee availability, please call the bakery for what we have in stock. If we have a cake in our frozen stock, it will take at least an hour to complete.

Do you deliver?

We do deliver. In the Downtown Denver area, the delivery charge is $8. For areas outside Downtown Denver, call us for a quote.

How do I place an order?

Call Mermaids Bakery to place an order with one of our friendly, knowledgeable staff members. OR place an order online.

How much notice do I have to give for an advance order?
A
We request at least 24 hours notice for advance orders. If you need a cake within a 24-hour window, we may be able to accommodate you with a frozen cake in stock.

What decorations can I get on my cake?
A
Our cake decorators can create several common designs (polka dots, flowers, etc). If you’d like something specific, call the bakery, we may ask you to bring in a picture of what you want.

Will my cake look exactly like the one in the picture on your website?
A
Since all our cakes are frosted and decorated by hand, each one is an individual creation and may not appear exactly as it does in our example photos.

Can I create my own cake that’s not currently on your menu?
A
We offer signature Mermaids Cakes that have been tried and tested for supreme taste, If you have a specific request, please call the bakery.

Do you have a minimum requirement for special orders?

Cupcakes, Cookies, Muffins and Empanadas - One dozen per flavor and Mini Pies – 3 pies per flavor

Do you offer special packages for businesses, parties, or events?
A
Yes! Please call the bakery to be set up as a corporate account, your company will receive special discounts and incentives.

What if I am displeased with the Decoration?
A
If you do not love the decorations please let us know and we will replace them on the spot.
